may day.

It’s safe to say that summer is off to a flying start. We’ve been so lucky with the sunshine, long may it last. No pun intended. Here at The Fox, nobody has been shy in taking advantage of the Al Fresco area outside and so far, lots of you have been enjoying plenty of cold beers and spritzers this week. We have even got some nice new plant pots to jazz the area up. Soak up the sun with some tapas plates and sip something cold to refresh yourself, there’s plenty drinks and light snacks on the new menus to keep you more than refreshed!

Partial to a little fruit of the sea? If so, the Fox is the plaice to be on the 30th of May. If you were lucky enough to make it along to our last seafood night, you’ll know how fish-tastic it was!

Hungry sea foodies tucked into lovely sharing fish and shellfish platters with tasty treats such as fresh langoustines, clams, baked monkfish, mussels and little add-on plates like oysters and a fritto misto which everyone loved. The kitchen are cooking up a similar selection for you this month and there’s even a complimentary glass of Prosecco to sip along with it, all for £35 per couple. If you like seafood, it’s the perfect date night, they say oysters are an aphrodisiac after all!

Well done clever clogs, it’s graduation time again! It’s your turn to reward yourself for all the hard work you’ve got through. A big achievement deserves a big treat. Our delicious three-course graduation menu is just the thing you need for just that. On arrival, graduates will get a well-earned complimentary glass of Prosecco to say congratulations from us. Cheers!

There’s something for everyone on the graduation menu. To begin you’ll enjoy starters such as country pork, apricot & chestnut terrine with Arran oaties and red onion jam or perhaps you fancy something more Mediterranean, you can try the heritage tomato bocconcini pasta, with rocket, basil and extra virgin olive oil. When it comes to the main event, tuck into a Scottish favourite, crispy chicken breast with Stornoway black pudding, rosemary and port reduction. Did you know that you can only call it Stornoway black pudding if it is actually from Stornoway? True story. Enjoy a delicious pan-seared sea bass fillet or succulent Perthshire lamb rump, a Scotch rib-eye steak. Vegetarians, you’ll love the beetroot and ricotta tortellini with sage and lemon butter. It’s delicious.

If you’ve left room for dessert, you can enjoy summer berry pavlova, the salted caramel tart which we seem to be getting famous for. There’s even a cheese board to nibble. All this for the princely sum of £23.95 from 16th June until the 10th July.
